NEW YORK CITY, Jul. 30, 2024 – The inaugural Fashion Meets Football weekend launched at the Lega Serie A US Office in New York City, featuring Juventus' new home kit, first unveiled on July 16 in Turin. Mundial Partners transformed the Serie A Office into a flagship store experience, allowing attendees from various industries to engage intimately with the brands sponsoring the project including Saturdays Football’s collection of vintage Juventus jerseys.

Christian Savino, Managing Partner at Mundial Partners & Strategy Director at FMF, said “Fashion Meets Football celebrates the expanding collaboration between fashion and sport. Mundial Partners is proud to create a unique experience, connecting creators and athletes and entrepreneurs to foster a larger conversation about the game's growth. We are extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors in this inaugural project.”

Day 2 of Fashion Meets Football was hosted at le PÈRE, a stylish New York City store known as a hub for artistic expression and community building. The day featured a panel discussion where brand representatives shared their unique stories of growth.

When discussing some of the successes of previous fashion partnerships during the panel, Gianmarco Pino, Brand Manager at Juventus, shared, “What works is when two brands speak the same language in terms of values and what they believe in. When we see that alignment with our values at Juventus and the brands that we collaborate with, we see that it works well and our community loves it.”

As the Fashion Meets Football Panel Discussion wrapped up, a bit of light tunes and a lot of anticipation filled the room for the next act.

le PÈRE, in collaboration with Pigeons & Planes, Club Renegade, and Monster Energy, shut down the block at 90 Orchard Street to bring out Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, Tia Corine, and friends as a celebration of the release of Denzel Curry’s new album: King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2.

A mere two hours earlier, the inside of the le PÈRE store had been a platform to share creative ideas and perspectives in a professional setting with butlered hor devours, handcrafted cocktails, and stadium style seating. With the floor cleared and additional members of the le PÈRE community packed into the store, Denzel Curry walked in and performed two electrifying songs from his new album that had the entire store jumping up and down. Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, Tia Corine, and friends then moved the party outside to perform a set in front of thousands of screaming fans.

The contrast between the subtlety of the Panel Discussion and the raucous crowd of the Denzel Curry performance perfectly epitomizes everything both Fashion Meets Football and le PÈRE stand for – that is, creating unique spaces for artistic expression to flourish. This connection across fashion, football, and music created an iconic cultural moment in New York City that has gained worldwide coverage.

Following a lively evening that consisted of a panel discussion at le PÈRE’s NYC flagship store and an energetic performance by Denzel Curry and A$AP Ferg, BOOM at The Standard, High Line served as the backdrop for an exclusive soiree.

Juventus and Mundial Partners welcomed notable brand friendlies, professional athletes, fashion designers, entrepreneurs, and downtown creatives alike. Sets from Laeticia de Valer and Miles Freedom lit up the room as attendees fueled the energetic atmosphere with dancing and discourse throughout the entire evening.

“To host an iconic club like Juventus in New York City for a first-of-its-kind jersey reveal celebration at New York’s most well known venue BOOM at The Standard, High Line is historic,” recalled Raheemovic, Creative Director for Fashion Meets Football. “Looking around the room was inspiring. There were so many incredible people who came together to celebrate the end of a wonderful weekend and the beginning of an ambitious endeavor we have set out on to grow the Fashion Meets Football brand globally alongside our incredible launch partners.”

Fashion Meets Football closed out its inaugural NYC Weekend Activation with a 5v5 tournament at Socceroof in Crown Heights. Dubbed the ‘Creator’s Cup’, Socceroof’s indoor pitch became the canvas for the creatives who laced up the boots to play for bragging rights and Fashion Meets Football branded merchandise.

“To pull together a weekend of events of this magnitude in under seven weeks is nothing short of legendary,” said David Bettenhausen, Managing Partner at Mundial Partners and Project Lead & Executive Director for Fashion Meets Football. “I’m very proud of the team we assembled to execute this ambitious project. Closing this weekend with a tournament and a donation to an organization so close to my heart, The Mark Dombroski Foundation – which focuses on youth education, athletics, safety, and well-being – makes this one of the most fulfilling projects I’ve ever been a part of.“

This inaugural Fashion Meets Football weekend marks the beginning of a series of activations planned across the world over the next few years. The Mundial Partners team has laid the foundation to grow a community centered around this cultural movement blending creativity and sport with Fashion Meets Football.
